Birth Preparation Education

Prepare your body. Understand your options. Feel confident in your birth.

Why Birth Prep?

Childbirth is more than an event—it’s a physical transition your body prepares for, experiences, and recovers from.

You don’t need to know everything going into it. You need the right tools, information, and support to help you feel prepared and confident.

Unfortunately, many expectant parents receive very little education about how to care for their own bodies throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Natural Resilience Birth Prep Classes are designed to change that.

Through evidence-based education, movement, and hands-on training, you’ll learn what to expect, what your options are, and how to best care for yourself throughout your journey—so you can approach birth feeling informed, empowered, and prepared.

Birth Prep Series

Evidence-based education, movement, and hands-on strategies to help you navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum period.

What You'll Learn

In this 4-class series, you will learn how to:

  • Support your changing body
Understand the physical changes of pregnancy and learn exercises and strategies to support your body and create a healthy environment for baby to grow.

  • Know what's common vs. what's normal
Learn which symptoms and changes are expected during pregnancy and when something may warrant additional evaluation or care. Significant pain or that "locked up" feeling shouldn't simply be something you are expected to “just deal with.”

  • Prepare your body for birth
Learn exercises, positioning, breathing, movement, and other strategies to help prepare your body for labor and delivery.

  • Build your birth toolbox
Explore evidence-based birth practices, labor and delivery positions, pushing techniques, and practical tools for managing discomfort throughout pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period.

  • Advocate for yourself
Learn how to communicate your needs, understand your options, and confidently advocate for yourself with your birth team.

  • Prepare for postpartum
Learn what to expect in the early postpartum period, how to support your recovery, and practical ways your partner or support person can help.

What about partners?

Support partners are encouraged—but not required—to attend.

The third class includes hands-on training specifically for partners and support people, giving them practical tools and techniques to help support you during labor and throughout your perinatal journey. No support person? No problem! You will be partnered with another participant or Dr. Morgan herself.

When should I take the class?

The course is recommended during the late first or early second trimester, but it can be beneficial at any stage of pregnancy. If you're already well into your third trimester, it's not too late!

Each class lasts 1 hour and are held once per week as a 4-class series.

Accommodations for a single missed class may be possible depending on space availability but cannot be guaranteed. If you anticipate a scheduling conflict, please let us know as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Ready to feel more prepared, informed, and confident for your birth?

C-Section Recovery Class

A Cesarean Section is a major abdominal surgery—and knowing what to expect can make a meaningful difference in how you prepare, recover, and care for yourself.

Whether you are planning a C-section, preparing for the possibility, or currently recovering from one, this class provides the education and practical tools you deserve to have throughout the process.

While Cesarean birth can be necessary and is often lifesaving, it is still major surgery with its own risks, physical demands, and recovery needs. A C-section is not the “easy way” to deliver a baby, and understanding what your body will experience can help you feel more prepared and confident every step of the way.

Learn from a Doctor of Physical Therapy who understands the physical demands of pregnancy, surgery, and postpartum recovery—and leave with practical tools you can use before and after your Cesarean birth.

  • What to expect
before, during, and immediately after a Cesarean birth
